Hi Guys i have had a good search and cannot find the answer, so i leave it to your collective knowledge.
i have a HVR4000 running into a 42" wide screen plasma running WXGA.
i have power cinema setup in wide screen mode and all the menu's etc are all fine, but the analogue signal is not coming through as wide screen. i thought that normal TV was now meant to be broadcast as wide screen as well. This could all be fixed when i sort out my UHF reception so i can get DVB-T but i am worried that it will do the same thing with that as well.

if there is any more information you need let me know

cheers

Rob

Analogue broadcasts are not widescreen. They are 4:3 and will remain that way.

The 4:3 feed is actually just a centre cut version of the widescreen 16:9 feed which just means the left and right are chopped off the picture.
