dvb-t tvnz channels problem

i get all channels but tvnz

signal quality is around 80 for most channels and Signal Strength is like 50 or so all other channels work good and never pixalate

when i plug antenna in to my pc all channels work fine could it be because im using and extension cable for the antenna to connect it to my room tv

when i watched tv about 5hrs ago it all worked 100% fine without any problems on any channels watch for like 3hrs then turned tv off came back and hour latter and now its not working for tvnz why?

Sounds like the difference in working/not working is the losses in extension lead. A lot of signal issues with dvbt are caused by a poor quality fly lead from wall socket to TV, even if its only 1 or 2 meters long. Make sure you use decent branded RG6 coax with proper F connecters and adaptors. (Most factory made flyleads with molded connectors are rubbish)

i found the power plug strip i have a plug on it to connect the antenna to it so i tried that and now tvnz channels work and signal strength is around 45 and signal quality is 55 before not being plugged in to the antenna sockets on my power strip it was signal quality 0 signal strength 10 so i hope this will solve the problem

keeping an eye on the tv signal quality has been staying around now 85-98 and signal strength around 45-55 looks good so far hope it stays working

i really miss analog tv could pick it up really clear no problem i remember when i was like 14 at my nanas house her tv spare had no antenna i just plugged end of headphones into the socket and it picked up tv 100% clear

signal strength is staying at basically 53 now and signal quality is at 100 almost all the time now has not dropped below 99

so i think i fixed it for now

When i said extension lead, i was referring to your aerial cable extension, not anything to do with power cords etc, just to clarify...

You havn't said what type of antenna you are using? I hope its not some crappy old rooftop vhf with a combiner box?

found out when i have my computer on it kills tvnz channels

so its my computer interference

Try a different display cable on the computer. HDMI is terrible on some of the cheap cables at spewing out noise.

im using a uhf antenna if i have the antenna plugged into my computer it works 100% fine just using an extension cable and having pc on kills tvnz channels

my mate has lent me his HQ hdmi cable so im going to try that tomorrow to see if it fixes the problem
