Hi all.

Last week i bought a Samsung 46inch 1080p LCD and got a Zinwell terrestrial free Freeview|HD topbox. We already have a UHF antenna installed as we used to get Maori and Prime channels clearly. We used to get all channels clearly in my old tv with the same antenna.

When i setup the topbox, I can get 1,2, TVNZ 6 & 7, and Sport extra, BUT no TV 3 or C4!
Why can't i get TV 3 & 4??
We live in off rosebank Road, Avondale, Auckland.

Also planning to build a HTPC. Would i have same issues of not receiving TV3 and C4 with the tuner card in HTPC?

Any help would be appreciated!

Cheers

Can you see The Parliament and the HD preview channels?

Currently the TVNZ channels you descibe are all one multiplexed signal (MUX), there are 3 MUX's 1 for TVNZ, 1 for Mediaworks ( TV3 /4) and the Kordia MUX with the preview channel/parliament and some other odds and sods,

It sounds like you have only got one of these tuned in, sounds like you may have to manually tune it again, (do they provide a manual in the box to tell ppl how to do this?)

Hi wellgary. Yes i think i saw the parliament TV last nite. But will have to confirm once i get home tonight. I have tried to manually tune TV3 and C4 but it still comes up "No signal" on the TV screen.

Dont know what else i can do? I only guessing here, but if i build a HTPC with TV tuner cards, i would still have this problem correct? (not receiving TV3 and C4)
