As per the subject, how can I do this?
I've tried importing the files into Windows Movie Maker but it doesn't recognise the .ts extension.
My .ts files are recorded with GBPVR.
Thanks

Have a look at these:

and see if something works for you. (And let us know how you get on.)
Personally, I'm still hanging my hat on MediaCoder but there is a bug in the most recent versions that mean ffMPEG doesn't work. The alternatives (MEncoder and MPlayer) introduce massive audio sync issues.
barlowdog: MPEG Streamclip will read .TS files and then export MPEG4 or AVI.
See http://www.squared5.com/ for free download.

lchiu7:I have decided the best solution is not to compress them, cut out ads and big larger drives! Your preferences might not be the same!
For me the problems is converting to DivX or similar so I can play on my media player. Playing H.264 through the laptop just isn't good enough!

this is a fantastic tool and can convert just about any format to any other format.
lchiu7: I can do that. In fact I have compressed them to run on my PSP. But occasionally I will encounter problems with audio/video sync when there are frame drops in the captured broadcasts. It can be overcome bu splitting the files into segments around the error area and then joinging them back again but that's tedious

Have you actually tried this at all? Or are you just guessing it will work? The forums seem to indicate TS support doesn't work.
