Hello, long time watch and have learnt alot - thank you,

If you could offer some help on the following i would be most grateful.

W7 7100 have just installed a HVR3000 (DVB-T works fine) - just rather DVB-S
setting up under WMC-7 i enter 0000 for post code -
answer the next guide questions -
set up for satellite -
no to stb -
no to more than one satellite -
select Optus D1 for list -
select custom single oscillator -
11300 for oscillator frequency -
no to another TV signal -
next to confirm - finish -

I end up with what looks like mostly AU channels

I confirm the 11300 and D1 setting with amother Freeview STB that is woeking off the same dish with no problems - STB does contain another setting that is not an option with WMC - C-LNB 5750??

I understand im probably doing something really DUMB
thanks for looking.

regards Kelem

You basically need to do a manual transponder scan because the auto one that comes with Win7MC doesn't have the correct settings.
Within MediaCenter if you go into tasks--setup--tv--tv signal--satellite transponder scan.
Select single transponder scan
Enter your lnb frq (11300). next,
enter 12483 and 22500 in the next screen and scan
then return to that screen and enter 12456 and 22500 and scan.
You should now have the freeview channels in your guide which you will need to edit.

Thank you Dingbatt,

Worked Great!!!

I have just spent 20 minutes editing out the channels not used - lots of!!

looking good now -

The reason for the DVB-S rather than DVB T is the conversion to DVRMS with HD is harder apparrently - will find out soon enough. Need to convert as all video gets viewed via XBMC

Again thank you - Kelem
