The latest TV guide features a competition giving away a Freeview TV and an unamed Freeview DTR that is not the Zinwell 640, TiVo, or the Vantage 6000.
Apparently it's worth $1300 installed. Anyone know anything about this unit?

Looks like a Homecast logo on the left hand side. Never seen this box before.

i noticed this as well. it appears to be a homecast. i jumped on the www.dtvs.co.nz (i think they're the nz distributor of homecast) website forum and asked if they knew anything about it but haven't had a reply.

Are you sure it's a Homecast? I see the Zinwell HD DVB-T @ DSE is stock clearance. A new version maybe?

it's only the standard zinwell hd receiver, not the pvr that's on stock clearance at dse according to their website.
i'm 99% sure the logo is homecast.

It is the Homecast HT9200DTR in the picture and is currently under development. Release date & RRP is not known yet but close.

can you tell us any specs, ie: hard drive size, twin tuner etc?
hopefully it's at a better price than the zinwell pvr.

Quad tuner. Terabyte HD, and no restrictions on copying/streaming material over an ethernet port or wireless?

Not a term that I have heard before. I thought maybe 'Digital Tape Recorder' or the old 'Dominion TV Rentals' company. I thought I may be missing a new generation of digital technology here! :)
