I am moving to an area which may not get freeview HD. Disappointing as have got very used to a mutli-tuner dvb-t environment on Windows 7.

So my questions are:

1) is it possible to have a mutli-tuner dvb-s environment with windows 7?

2) are there any dvb-s dual tuner cards (like the Nova T500 for dvb-t)? Or would I need to buy multiple cards?

I have not seen a dual tuner DVB-S card available locally. Looks like a couple of Nova S Plus's might be an option. An outfit called Micronas (http://www.micronas.com/home/index.html) either have or are producing a dual tuner DVB-S card, but by the time you import it - it's probably cheaper just to get a couple of Nova Plus cards if you have the free slots.

A better option is probably the HVR3000/4000 range but they are much more expensive. They give you DVB-S and DVB-T. You can get the Nova S cards for about $NZ145 depending on where you shop compared to $NZ235 or so for the HVR3000 and $NZ300 for the HVR4000. So if you only intend to use DVB-S, two Nova S cards are a good - but limiting - option.

Yes in 7MC you can have up to four tuners of each type. ie 4x DVB-S and/or 4xDVB-T etc

There are some dual DVB-S tuners around, such as the BlackGold BGT3540 http://shop.blackgold.tv/epages/BT3159.sf/en_GB/?ObjectPath=/Shops/BT3159/Products/BGT3540
However they are not readily available here, you would need to order them from overseas. I believe some of they guys on GZ have done just that and could comment on the experience.

The other option would be to get two Hauppauge Nova-S Plus cards.
