DVB viewer woes

Hi peoples,

I have brought DVB Viewer Pro and downloaded it. It find all the channels and seems to install ok but then I get a error message about:

"Cannot render mediafile/output pin, error: 0x80040218 - no combination of filters could be found to render the stream"

But then if I wait long enough a image does come up???

What does this mean?

hmmm, check your directx settings.

most importantly your h264 video decoder, renderer, and AAC audio decoder.

Mine are set to ffdshow, EVR (i use Windows 7), and mongram.

I can also use libfaad2 for audio, but it lags a bit for me.

Yeah. Since I kept fiddlig last night I now get this error:

Cannot render mediafile/output pin, error 0x80040200
An invalid media type was specified

Double click on the file "Register_DVBSource.exe" inside the filters folder of the dvbviewer directory.
Or register PushSource.ax

Registering that file worked, but didnt fix the problem!

Should DVBviewer install and run without having to install anything else?

I have installed DVBViewer on my Windows 7 partition (same computer) - Windows 7 is basically a clean install, yet I get the same error. I wonder if it is hardware related?

My video card is a old Nvidia6600 LE - with the latest greatest driver .... perhaps I should try a older driver? I dunno running outta ideas here?
