Yup, this has been mentioned a fair bit, with most aligning themselves with the 'they shouldn't be able to sell hard drive/dvd recorder units with only analogue tuners anymore'.
Some are happy to know that they'll need to connect it to a freeview box, as many are currently using theirs to record sky that way. That's a fair call, but I'd suggest most people intend to use their purchase to record TV directly, and as you say, this won't be possible in a while.
