Can anyone confirm that Teletext works on PlayTV? When ever I try nothing happens. I guess it could be because the transmitter I'm running off is still in testing.

Couldn't say, but would mention it's a TVNZ service, so you'd need to be on say TV1 for this to work?

I have no PlayTV experience but I can at least confirm that Teletext is broadcast over Freeview HD - I just tried it and now I know what that green button on my remote is for! :)

Not sure if the OP resolved this. But I can confirm that at least on TV1 teletext is working, I was also pleasantly surprised that one can turn teletext on/off in the recorded program (Mentalist at least).

I tested it last night and it didn't work.. Perhaps it's because i'm on a transmitter that is still in testing.

Yeah with digital recording you simple save the transport stream to the hard drive.  So everything that was being broadcast at the time gets saved, so you can switch audio tracks on TV3 and teletext commands on and off etc from the recorded program.

That's also why you don't need too powerful a computer to actually record the HD freeview programs, but you need a decent machine to watch it back, which is where the number crunching really happens.
