Hi there

thought I would post this as I have returned 2 of the SSATNZ1 Sommet receivers to Dick Smith, and I hear from Clearvision and Dick Smith that these are riddled with problems.

We have a sky dish, with mysky, and apparently this could be the issue, rather than the receiver top box itself.
If you have a single line sky it will work, but dual line, it won't, that was a memo I was shown at DS.

Someone more technical than myself can probably explain that.... however, I am not wanting to give it another go, nor am I wanting to climb on my roof to check the serial number on the sky dish and check if it is single, or dual...

So...ended up swapping the top box for a UHF aerial kit instead, and will attempt to use this with the built in freeview on our TV rather than trying the satellite option.

Now just have to get on the roof and install it... or get hubby to rather...
Any suggestions for getting a good signal in Raumati South?

I've also just had confirmed that the Somet STB i got from DSE is faulty - doesn't pick up any signal.  The professional installer used his own STB and it was perfect signal.

The installer said he'd seen quite a few of these Somet door stops.
