I use an ex sky Satellite dish to recieve SBS, Nine, Go! and Gem from Optus D1. The signal strength and quality that I am currently getting is around 60 for signal strength and 35 to 40 for signal quality. This doesn't seem particualrly great to me but is adequate for watching these channels on most days, weather permitting. I do get some loss of quality, drop outs, pixelation etc quite often when recording these channels.

My question is this: is that a reasonable signal strength and quality to expect from an ex sky dish (65cm I think)? Is it worth trying to tweak the alignment etc to improve this or will I just have to upgrade to a larger dish?

Thanks in advance
