Just noticed that STB receivers by the Ferguson brand (i.e. 6600 & STYX-K) are not mentioned much here.  Was wondering why?  Was wondering if the 6600 was stable and capable of using CAMs ect.
Any thoghts on this brand?

There are hundreds of brands of set top boxes. Most come from Asia and are labelled as multiple different brands. Some have the development driven by large companies and others are just put together with basic software.

Why would you be looking at this brand over others with some level of support here in NZ?

I see a Ferguson FX-6600 down the raod at a friends place who bought it from a dealer in Auckland.
Also I see new Ferguson HD Hybrid STYX-K on the satnet.net.nz web site for sale.  So they looked as if they were a common item.
