Hi guys,
Just bought a sony full HD with freeview HD built in.
When scanning for channels it comes up with 15 results, but freeview offer many more channels. Im wondering, where are all the other channels?
I live in new plymouth and the freeview website shows I can receive very good signal from my address

not sure if this helps, but the tv guide shows up perfect :"D

thanks

15 would be right in your region. Some channels are only available in certain regions.
Parliament TV, Chinese TV8 and some others don't appear to be available in Taranaki.
There's only about 20 channels available in total.
Check info at Freeview Shop.

15 channels is about standard for Freeview|HD. (give or take a few regional channels such as TV Rotorua etc..)

You are probably getting confused with Freeview Satellite, as there are a few extra channel offerings on satellite.

You should only be receiving 11 channels in Taranaki.

According to the Freeview site, the radio channels are only on the "old" transmitters.

No. The Radio Channels are on the Freeview Digital Muxes and are listed in the TV Guide.
