I noticed (what might just be a live feed) a broadcast very early Thursday evening (last night) on D1 as F2A of: SC10 Bendigo (Australia)

Now on my very old limping receiver/STB it shows it at 12636 MHz V (DVB-S) though when I look at the D1 Lynsat.com page it does not show 12636 V but instead 12637 V, which confused me as to why it was 1 MHz out between them. So I then checked SBS ONE & SBS TWO which showed on the receiver/STB as 12649 V and again on the Lynsat page it was 1MHz out as 12648 V. Well, I had to check Prime at 12456 H and channel 2 at 12483 H and these were the same on the receiver/STB and the Lynsat page.

1.) Wonder why the slightly different frequencies?

2.) Wonder if 12636/7 V might be one of the new F2A channels about to appear?

for your info I did see this TV guide page and when I checked it I saw Good Chef, Bad Chef was on.

You can safely get transponders up to about 15mhz out. Different receivers read them differently.

Often a blindscan will show 7199 instead of 7200 etc.

And its likely to be a temporary feed. 10/7 come and go.

It could be your LNB is starting to show its age, and the frequency of its internal oscillator is shifting. That happens.

hmm, an 24 month old sky LNB slipping, oh well maybe the quad unit is the result of sort lived products in our futures, hope not, but maybe.

trust my luck, the Bendigo channel never came on today that I saw.. hopefully tomorrow.

As lyngsat shows 12637V is only for feeds which come and go but never stay long. Part of the fun of scanning is finding a live feed which could be tennis, a news item or program. They never last for long.

One can change the frequency 10 Hz or more and still get a picture so 1 Hz is insignificant.

quite correct, this is used for feeds if there are issues with the normal way of transmission. They'll often only be live for a few hours too.

It's almost always there as 'test', but will often morph in to some regional Southern Cross affiliate channel, which will carry Channel 7 or Channel Ten content (or both)
