I have no experience with the  Magic TV boxes but for what it's worth, I got a TiVo in the Boxing day sales and have been really impressed with it, very easy to use and my wife, who was sceptical, know loves it too!

Also with TiVo you can schedule recordings from a mobile browser, good if you are out and about and someone tells you about a new program or you remembered something will be missed...

That's a good feature to have. Does mySky HDI have anything like that?

TIVO.

TIVO beats Magic in every department, especially video and audio performance where the Magic is mediocre.

Have had a magic 3600 for over 2 years now and have had no issues with it, fantastic little box of tricks. The custom firmware helps alot too :-)

Remote browser recording sounds like the only thing with the Tivo. Although you also need an internet connection to get the epg (Not really an issue these days).

Yes remote browser is about the only difference oh ad you can get apps for ya iphone/android epg via the net is just stupid given its transmitted on the uhf hd network tivo has a smaller hhd too 320g compared to the 3600 which has 500g and the 3700 has 1tb dont think tivo is on special any more either

I had a short go with our neighbours Magic TV before I bought my Tivo the other day. The reason I chose the Tivo was because I couldn't really see a significant difference between the two when I used them. The Tivo was so much cheaper so it was an easy choice.
