Behodar:
Zipdisk: Not if they move to DVB T2  as Sky has done with its Igloo channel

In the UK they had to get new Set top boxes or a new TV.

I have read that DVB-T2  will be required when the Analog is turned off

Freeview is not going to force everyone to buy new T2-capable boxes. There could potentially be new niche channels on a forthcoming T2 mux, but the existing channels will be on "T1" for the foreseeable future.

Zipdisk: In the UK  when they went DVB-T2  it all got moved  to VHF III  for far better coverage, one thing that NZ should do.

I've just been looking around the Digital UK site and it appears that they're using ~450-550 MHz. This isn't too far off the ~550-600 MHz that we're moving to.

Some where I read they were moving to VHF, may be its was some ones wish full thinking.

I noticed a huge logo on the top left of the screen last night. It was really distracting. I probably won't watch this channel much if this will be the norm.

Relax it's was just a network promo. When people start watching they'll have proper advertising like 3 minute commercial breaks.  >.>

Totally untrue, they simply cleared one of the current 6 muxes and dispersed the channels on it to the other 5. They dropped the VHF frequencies in the 1980s with 405 line shutdown.

Made a mention on their Facebook about the audio, 2 other people also had.

They mention the levels on the supplied programming can be quite low.. I thought thats what the normalisers were for...

Pointed them this way and mentioned the EIT/PVR issues which seem to be sorted now.

I'll be sticking to timer recording for ChoiceTV on the Magic TV because recording from the EPG is still giving errors.

Saw an ad for Holden on Choice.

Set the Tivo to season pass Autospeed, fine.

But it wouldn't season pass Shifting Gears.

Surprised

Working OK last night,  was giving a (code -2)  error missing CRID data fixed now.

Double check the EPG times as they were wrong on Saturday for The Deep, the TV guide now has a simple guide.

Seems they don't take kindly to comments and criticism either.

Hope they fix it in time for Penn and teller. It is good to see they have some advertisers now. It is hard enough for them, without this sort of problem taking them off air in a peak time.
