sbiddle: The 1TB unit is apparently on it's way, but I'd expect them to be around the $600 mark as that really is the market price of such a product, and it sell for ~A$600 in Australia.


Around $500 - $600 would be the market price - if it could use the broadcast EPG data - I believe that the requirement for an internet connection to get EPG data that the current model has is a definite drawback which reduces the Tivo's market value.

That's not going to happen, by design Tivo requires an internet connection as it's EPG is a lot more than a basic EPG. This was considered by many to be the beauty of Tivo.
