Impression I got when I read it is the PIDs are changing around so Sky will drop their feed of FOUR and point all Sky Boxes to the one on the Freeview Transponder.
Similar thing I believe happened when TVNZ 6 and 7 joined Sky

It is a TiVo issue: http://www.geekzone.co.nz/forums.asp?forumid=114&topicid=109501

I
think mediaworks should have made sure things like this wouldn't of broken.

On the C4 side, why does it need to be unencrypted in your opinion? C4 is already available on Freeview Sat, so why do you need another, identical, highly compressed version?

Because the announcement has said that it will be (for an unknown period of time) removed from the Freeview Satellite product.

Hi, could this be the reason I haven't been able to watch any of the Mediaworks channels and why media center says no signal when trying to record something.

Yes, a rescan should get everything working properly.

Yip, quite likely
I came home from holiday to find no mediaworks mux on Thursday, (on a panasonic box), had to do a full retune to get things back to normal

Cool, but how often will I need to rescan during the duration of this upgrade/change? I did a rescan earlier yesterday afternoon and was able to watch TV for a couple of hours but later that evening it did not record the Mediaworks channels scheduled. Looking through the Media Center logs it said no signal.

Further information I use my HTPC for all my Freeview watching and use 2 USB tuners, 1 is dual tuner and the other is a single.

I'm actually doing a rescan right now because it seems TV3 + 1 is gone from my lineup.

The problem is it cost a lot more money to TX HD via Freeview Satellite

Mediaworks wouldn't bother upgrading c4 to HD. It may upgrade Four (I hope it does) but if Sky carried it in HD, it would be encrypted (As TVONEHD, TV2HD and TV3HD are encrypted by sky).
