Quick question. Will this box work without a UHF antenna?

I would like to use it on a secondary TV. Not interested in live TV. Just keen to know if catch up TV will work?


The Apps can work without a UHF Aerial, simply just press the Apps button on the remote then you will be fine

Jase2985: anyone had issues with the box not responding to the remote? just brought one from DSE and the first 5 mins its fine but after that i can press any number of buttons on the remote and it doesnt, its like its frozen, then a minute of so later it will do one of the functions for one of the buttons you pushed. Doesn't seem to recover.

Its only connected to the UHF aerial at the moment, so no internet.

Also the EPG didnt work, pushed the button and nothing happened.

What is your firmware version?


it was 1.1b i think i upgraded it to 1.28 i think it was (off my phone internet as they dont have an internet connection yet)

it was about 10x better but on the odd occasion it was slow to respond to the remote but no freezing anymore


That is probably the case, glad to hear that the freezing as been treated, when you get internet up and running make sure you set the T2100 to update new firmware automatically via the network to ensure you get the most up to date firmware and features.
