rugrat: Everyone else has had the same time as TV3 to get the neccessay equipment and setup, and TV3 is always to date, ready to go first with the new technology. It suggests to me that they're more on the ball then everyone else.

Agreed

Yes, I couldn't agree more with you too rugrat.  It's not as if Freeview|HD just appeared from nowhere.  All stations have had time to prepare, but it looks like TV3 was the only one interested.

Are you in some way affiliated with TVNZ sbiddle (besides being a tax payer)?

A mate of mine is joining the TVNZ HiDef project next week.  Hopefully I'll be able to get some info on what their plans are, and even what the current hold up is.  Should be interesting...

The whole HD debate is a distraction from the real issue of networks putting a decent budget into the content of their programmes.

Life is a daring adventure or nothing at all...

Not at all.. I have a few friends who did work at TVNZ and have a few that currently work for TV3.

Yeah I was just watching TVNZ Close Up with a outside broadcast segment from Gareth Morgan.  He was completely fuzzy.

On that topic, is there a definitive list of programs that are actually broadcast in HD?  Grey's Anatomy looked good last night.

I  notice TV Guide has "high definition" at the end of all HD CH3 program listings.  Why they just don't say HD at the end of this listing is beyond me..
