adamj:rugrat: Everyone else has had the same time as TV3 to get the neccessay equipment and setup, and TV3 is always to date, ready to go first with the new technology. It suggests to me that they're more on the ball then everyone else.

Yes, I couldn't agree more with you too rugrat. It's not as if Freeview|HD just appeared from nowhere. All stations have had time to prepare, but it looks like TV3 was the only one interested.
Are you in some way affiliated with TVNZ sbiddle (besides being a tax payer)?
A mate of mine is joining the TVNZ HiDef project next week. Hopefully I'll be able to get some info on what their plans are, and even what the current hold up is. Should be interesting...
