Doh!

I just realised that the Asustek My Cinema P7131 Dual TV tuner card that I had my hopes on buying, is actually just the My Cinema P7131 Hybrid (single tuner). Asus seem to juggle the terms "hybrid" and "dual", in it's naming which is very misleading! Pity, because it was a bargin price ($99+gst) and included a remote.

Guess I'll be looking at joining the waitlist for a HVR-2200...

Has anyone tried the Pinnicle PCTV Dual Hybrid Pro??

Does anyone know which DVB-T cards are supported by MCE and any recommendations?

Also I see some talk about Graphics cards needing to support H.264, is this a requirement for DVB-T?

My systems as follows, my thinking leads me towards just popping a DVB-T card in and thats about it, reading the previous posts am I to expect something a little more tricky?

CPU=AMD 939 3400
Ram=1Gb Generic
HDD's=1Tb
Case= Silverstone LC16M
Graphics=ATI x700Pro
Tuner=Hauppauge 250
OS=XP2005MCE
EPG=BRP3.5 + Reven V3RC2

Screen...........er.........some crappy old 31' CRT run from the SVGA port of the X700

DVB-T will not work very well on this system if at all.

DVB-T will not work very well on this system if at all.

Maybe we could be a bit more helpful.

CPU needs to be a high end 939 CPU X2. Increase ram, video card (NVidia GF 8500GT and above not sure for ATI). Tuner as suggested throughout the thread. OS needs to not be MCE. Options are in this thread -->

A whole 8 page thread talking about the graphics card (most important part).

Cheers Nety, I was close to just popping out and getting a DVB-T card but if its going to mean spending $400+ just for digital TV I may give it a miss until I upgrade my main PC and use the old parts for the next Media Center incarnation, when i do that I may make the move over to Myth.

I somehow missed the whole uber thread on setting DVB-T up, gawd knows how.
