What about if you go back to 11300 for the LNB then try 12483 H 22500 for the transponder?



Ok glad I've at least got the connection right.

Tried with changes no luck :(

It come up with DTV is that ok?

Gosh thank you for your suggestions I hope it's not something simple!!!!

how old is the dish, what does the condition of the lnb look like, the lnb could be stuffed?

I'm not sure the age of the dish or it's condition (it looks fine). I can not confirm it's worked prior (New house) I assume previous owners used same cables there are no others. Is the TV too new for the dish?

Sometimes when you have a long chain of equipment and it doesn't work, i think we've beaten up the tv enough, barring trying a different tv or different Sat tuner, you really have to start looking at the other components.

Now i presume if your tv says it finds the satellite then it suggests the cable and the dish are working?

When my modem plays up i factory reset it. I don't suppose satellite tuners need a factory reset?

Can you go to your shop and borrow a different satellite tuner to see if that gives you a picture?

As it's a new TV then it's almost certain to be a problem with the dish and/or cable. Most likely problem is the LNB has failed. Best bet is to get an installer to check the system and set it up

Yep 5 min with a satellite meter could save hours with TV settings. Could also be bad cabling or connectors. A quick visit from a good tech probably worth it. Trick will be finding the right one local to you.

Was the satellite dish that you are connecting to previously connected to sky at this location - so in other words - the 'sky' dish is proven to have been working fine up to the point you tried to connect it to the TV?

Just wondering if your knowledge of the lg setup procedure might shine any light on this. On first impression lg NZ seem hopeless as far as anything in the online support pages goes.

The problem I encountered was a result of a dead 'head' on the satellite dish - once that was replaced it was fine.

Hit nail on head, was only 2 minutes with sat meter from techy to discover I had wrong cable plugged in! I did say blonde needing help lol

All the settings and advice were correct so thanks for all the spot on suggestions.

I tried the cable prior but not after I'd made the suggested changes left the incorrect cable in (rolling eyes) lol

Yip it is a smart tv just strange that the incorrect cable showed it picked up the satellite when it had no signal on the sat meter.
