Well Bravo outrates  Prime, Duke and others etc so it might be more of the same

I still want to see a retro channel to eat into the Jones! audience

Is the new channel merely replacing Edge on Ch11? If so, no loss there.

Edge TV is moving to 14 and the new channel is taking up the slot on Ch 11.

Also it feels awfully like a clone of the ChoiceTV Format.

I thought Mediaworks were falling on hard times? Yet, they continue to churn out even more slop.

How about they upgrade their existing channels to HD and DD5.1 and add some content worth watching. Get the basics right before expanding even more. Just my $0.02.

The new channel will be HD and Dolby on DTT. Don't know how much content will actually be 5.1 though...

Such a waste of an HD/DD5.1 channel.

My partner frigging loves those reality cooking shows. I've pointed out to her what a load of horse poop they are. Each to their own. At least she goes and watches it on the bedroom TV usually.

BTW, she also likes married at first sight among others. yell

The only thing we still watch on FTA is the news. I really wish we had better news and current events coverage. I do miss the days of Holmes, the Walrus, Campbell Live, and the like. Dumbed-down 'infotainment' is not a substitute. We really do need a public service channel in this country.

If/when RadioNZ with pictures gets going, that might meet your needs.

They could pick up public broadcasting where TVNZ gave up years ago.

Their news web site is refreshingly free of stories like what you can and can't put up your covfefe.
