Hey,
I am trying to decide between a WinTV-HVR-3000, a WinTV-HVR-4000, and the 2200.
I currently only have a uhf arial, and probably wont be getting a satellite dish anytime soon. I want it to be able to watch/record 2 channels at once, and record HD Freeview.
I am currently favouring the 2200, but i am wondering whether it would be a good idea to future proof with a DVB-S2 card. I think a remote would also be useful.
Anny suggestions?

If you want to view/record 2 channels at once when the HVR2200 is the only choice as the other 2 cards only have a single tuner.

As for a remote a seperate MCE remote is probably better than an integrated remote.

From what I've seen around it appears unlikely that that Freeview Satellite will be in HD for a long time, if ever. So I wouldn't worry about DVB-S2 future proofing, especially as it means that for the rest of the time you will be stuck recording 1 DVB-T mux at once and that will be downright frustrating.

So I agree with sbiddle, get the HV2200 and you can record all the good stuff on Freeview HD. And the MCE remote is very good too.

Definitely the HVR-2200. As long as your motherboard has a PCI-E x 1 slot....
