I've had this problem again the last week or so, Prime +1 has guide but Prime doesn't. I've tried re-scanning my channels and it didn't fix it.
Is anyone else having the issue or is it just me? I'm using Satellite.

If this is an ongoing problem, it would be possible to get the EPG from the Sky Prime HD channel and use that, although it can be a bit different from the Freeview version of the EPG data. I modified tv_grab_dvb_plus to work with the OpenTV EPG data that Sky now uses, and it gets the Prime data from there as well as for all the encrypted Sky channels. I also get Freeview HD EPG for the DVB-T version of Prime using mhegepgsnoop, but I presume that you can not receive DVB-T otherwise you would not be recording from DVB-S. Both of these are Linux software though - you have not said what you are using to record with. There is also downloadable EPG available from at least two different places. PM me if you would like details.

What receiver do you use?
Thank you for your replies, I use a Mecool KIII Pro Android TV Box

It picks up various Prime TV Channels on it's satellite scan but none of them include the guide for the primary channel, the Plus 1 guide works perfectly. This has only just stated being a problem a week or two ago, I have since cleared all channels and re-scanned to see if it makes any difference and it doesn't.
I've been having this problem with Prime for over two weeks now. I've deleted Prime twice and re-scanned it back (in case any of the channel ID's changed) but still no EPG. It's odd that Prime+1 is OK even though it's on the same satellite TP as Prime. I know Prime has had this problem before but it seems to be really persisting this time.
I have an UltraPlus X-9200HD Satellite box.

I'll try to check it on mine, last time this happened it was because they removed the DVB epg on the Prime transponder. It needed messaging them via Facebook to fix it back
Thanks for trying to help, it's a real pain it's disappeared. I'm at a loss, I've tried another TV BOX and it does the same thing. When I scan I get a bucket load of working prime channels, but none have a guide. Only the +1 does.
The DVb Epg is for compatibility with all standard receivers. Have you tried the freeviewforum community? or the Freeview facebook page?
Didn't know they existed, will do that now thanks ;)
I have just tried using epgsnoop on my Ubuntu box to get the EIT EPG from 12483. Initially, I was not getting anything for Prime, so I ran a channel scan on the 12519 transponder where Sky broadcasts Prime, and found that the SID value (service ID) for Prime was 1530. When I checked that in my channels.conf file for epgsnoop, I found that it had a different SID for Prime, so I changed it to 1530 and re-ran epgsnoop. This time I got EPG for Prime. It is a long time since I last used the Freeview DVB-S EPG, so some time between then and now, Prime's SID has been changed for some reason. So that may be the problem with getting its EPG data. I have no idea how the OP's box works, but maybe rescanning the channels on 12519 will get it to see the new SID.
Thank you, I will have a play today and see if my Box will allow me to do any of this, the scan first seems the easiest. I appreciate your efforts.
Well I've been messing around all morning, I was able to get the EPG by doing a blind scan and getting all the paid for channels, although obviously I couldn't view them the prime on the Paid for channels did have an EPG. I was still unable to get a Freeview prime channel to display the EPG. I can manually edit the settings of the channels and but my prime are all on 12518 that display a picture. I've tried changing the SID for Prime on the Freeview channels to 1530 but that didn't solve it unfortunately.
I'm stuck with no EPG I guess. Seems so strange as it was working until a couple of weeks ago, they've changed something recently.
I tried contacting the freeview people on Facebook, they were unable to help as I don't have a authorized freeview box. I'm certainly not going to change box to get the guide as my Android box is far better and I use it for Kodi and various other Android apps so I need it. I might just give up on Satellite and use Prime streaming off Kodi, my house gets fibre in the next couple of weeks so that'll make streaming more viable than it is now. At least the guide works in Kodi using streaming.
I'm unable to check as i have removed my ultraplus for packing up as i'm moving house soon. The DVB EPG on Prime is Sky's responsibility, you will need to pester SKY and Prime via Facebook.
Tell them when the EPG went off. Most likely some incompetent removed it from the MUX during the monthly addition/removal updating of channels.
Ill try and hook my ultraplus back up to confirm
Ultraplus 9200 here too - also no prime epg but can get the prime + 1 epg
