richms:

I was using the xbox last time. It was probably them mangling things into that bastard 25FPS rate causing the problem. No idea why that persists in the post analog era, but the audio was bad 2 channel. I could hear artifacts and it had clearly had dynamics removed from it. Same show from the bay was a much nicer watch and listen.

I used TVNZ On Demand via a Browser on Linux and via Kodi on a FireStick 4k. Neither of them have the audio issues you report, but I'd love to see 1080 or higher bitrate 720p streams available.

Never used it, but if it's losing to the hot garbage that is the TVNZ/TV3 on demand apps then it must have been pretty awful lol.

Does anyone know whether there are any plans to bring ThreeNow app support to the Samsung, LG and Panasonic television smart platforms?

It was always bricked on my Samsung TV. Spent about an hour trying to get it working properly when I first got the TV.  Got it working, then the next day it failed again, so I haven't looked since.  No loss for me.

Panasonic has pushed a firmware update going back to 2017 models (EX/ES) to install the Three Now app.
