1gkar: Re. life On Mars: please, give me a break. I watched the entire Brit series & what a complete BS finale. If that's the best TV series' writers can manufacture, then its no wonder reality TV cr*p is taking hold.
Personally, I enjoyed Life on Mars - and it was a bit hit for the BBC when the first series was shown in 2006.

Life would be boring if we all agreed about what's good and what isn't.

1gkar:

I hope it does have better scriptwriting, for those watching it, but it would be just about a first for an American network to be better than their British counterparts. But maybe I'm just reminiscing back to the days when Brit comedy really was funny Frown

Apparently the US version of The Office is pretty good but I haven't seen it (nor have I seen much of the UK version)

Don't get me wrong. I did enjoy the series as it was running but I was always hoping I would be wrong about the ending. Sadly, for me, the ending was worse than I'd envisioned -wonder if Bowie had seen the series' end before he allowed his great song to be...Sealed. There is so much content on TV nowdays, I don't have time to watch re-runs of poorly constructed programmes (IMHO), let alone their syndicated sisters. All-right...I'll STFUWink

Couldn't agree more with your second paragraph. Guess that's why R&R (reality & rap) is so popular.

Here's the ideal scenario. Life on Mars crashes and burns on TV3 while 24 exceed expectations on C4. So TBTB swap the two around!

Caught Burn Notice tonight on TV3 - not the greatest HD but good DD5.1 and a great show to boot. Shows that not all good shows need to be from the main networks (this is from the USA network)
