The original question was in regard to a sky dish (which is KU rated).

Therefore there are only 2 FTA channels on AS4 (if you could somehow get on dish that size).

yes im aware there are more on C band - but that was not the original question.

Sky Dish is only 60cm (unless I'm mistaken again! Tongue out) in size and cannot recieve channels from Asiasat 4. Also you said you were using a 1m dish so I assumed...!!!

if you are installing a motor the mount must be 100% plumb.  As it scans across the Clarke Belt, you slight misalignment will mean it doesn't work properly.

(for Australia, but same principal)

Hi
Just to tell you my experinece

I have 3m mesh dish ploar mount. Asiasat 4, some time back had a lot of Chinese channels on it. When Chinese TV shifted these to Chinasat 6B, for a long time there was hardly anything on Asiasat 4. Recently i had a go at tuning it to Asiasat 4 and found a lot of Indian channels which were not there before (possibly migrated from Asiasat 3). In addition, you get a French channel and RT (Russia Today, English). Signals are strong and the channels are listed in the Lyngsat site.
I do not think you can get these from a Sky dish. Foor a start, channels I mention are all C band. Sky dish and the lnb are for ku band. By the way, all these channels are FTA.
