so anyone got this?
looking at buying a Freeview HD PVR..

the price of the Zinwell one seems quite reasonable now at just under $700.. but i heard there are quite a few minor bugs and problems with that. So rather pay a bit more to get a "better" one with no/minimal bugs.

Is the HT9200DTR a better choice? or should i wait ?
There are always newer and better model coming out but i have been waiting so long so rather not wait if this is good enough

Hi There

The HT92000DTR is due for release next week, a huge deal of time and effort has gone into this to iron out any bugs or issues we had.

Thanks for the reply.
It's good to hear you guys are putting all the efforts on fixing the bugs and issues instead of rushing it out!

I got one for review and will be posting tomorrow. Very nice machine - I liked a couple of features that even beat the Panasonic one.

Hi Freitasm, Hows the review going on this pvr? Since (according to DTVS 9 Sept post) it's going on sale this week, I would be very interested in what your thoughts are about this pvr.

I went into JB HiFi Wellington today and found one listed for $799, but got it for $699 (maybe I was too keen and could have got it for even less, but I digress).

Bought it in and plugged it in. Answered a few on screen questions and it was away. It has been going since, doing chase play. The picture is (of course) much better than analogue TV.

Minor niggles so far;
Can't seem to find how to adjust the screen resolution post setup (our TV is only 1366 x 768 so I wanted to force it to 720p)
On the play list you have to press OK to watch a recording - not play
We have had about a 1 second glitch, but not sure whether that was the box, antenna or a transmission issue.
My wife is recording/watching in chase play "Dirty Dancing" on Prime - this is a late change and so is not in the epg - the work around is to record several programmes that are in the epg over the expected time of broadcast - not the boxes fault, but it does highlight the difficulty of recording when the epg is not accurate.

Overall so far very happy.
