Another question. Which is the best setting to have the STB on 720p or 1080i?
Although my tv is not full hd. it does detect and upscales I guess to 1080p or tries to. I have a Panasonic plasma

richms: Yes, Old people are one group I know have plenty of them.

Plus many old tvs did have composite in but on a scart or a BNC or something even more exotic. Ask sky how many modulators they have to shift with mysky upgrades and old tvs and it will suprise you I bet.
Time to get with the times then (or will be some day).
