Yeah in that case it sounds like you've aligned the dish with the 22kHz tone on. Technically that's fine, but it's not the normal way to use that lnb. That said it's all good, but just watch out if you ever need to change the lnb etc. Glad you got it going.
Fantastic that you've got it going, however, as Jaxson says, it's not quite set up correctly so if you add another receiver or something later on, things will go wrong again!
Best bet would be to make sure 22k is off (and check your sat finder to see if it has a switch also), and I expect your dish will need to be moved about 4 degrees to the west to pick up the correct satellite on the primary throat of the LNB. Then check the elevation as this will be slightly out as well.
You should then find that if you turn 22k on, it gives you the Optus C1/D3 satellite - although there is probably little of interest to you there.
Thanks fo the additional input. I'd rather leave as is at the moment especially as the Sat finder has no switch. If and when I add to it at least I have gained knowledge on what to do and that setup in its present state is not the norm.
