Nine, GEM etc. are DVB-S2 channels and hence will not be received on a DVB-S only receiver.

Spark Max Fibre using Mikrotik CCR1009-8G-1S-1S+, CRS125-24G-1S, Unifi UAP, U6-Pro, UAP-AC-M-Pro, Apple TV 4K (2022), Apple TV 4K (2017), iPad Air 1st gen, iPad Air 4th gen, iPhone 13, SkyNZ3151 (the white box). If it doesn't move then it's data cabled.

12398 is the frequency in MHz
11909 is the symbol rate in KSym/sec
Vertical is the polarity

Just to confirm - I get those three Australian channels on 12398V DVB-S2 with no problems, complete with EPG.

I believe we get SBS here because there was no room on the Australia-only beam for the Tasmanian variant, so they had to put it on the beam that also covers NZ. It's the silver lining in the limited capacity on Optus D1, the cloud being that we don't get NZ FTA HD (despite it being broadcast by Sky!)

They are being beamed to Tasmania on the same sat as FV and Sky  so we are able to get them..

Optus D1 contains numerous beams - some are spot beams covering NZ, some Australia and others cover the entire region. From memory the SBS transmission we get here is a link into Tasmania and is only viewable here because of transponder space constraints. It could go at any time.

Does this mean Channel 9, GEM and GO could disappear at anytime too?

could be there for another 2 years, could be there for another 2 mins.  There is no certainty about these things.
