I've got the same thing, with the same fix, if you can call it that seeing as it sounds pretty average.

Yeah not a fix. just a workaround. AC3 is actually better if you ask me and it seems like they have increased the volume. It used to be that the AAC was louder than AC3 but no so any more. Anyway I really wish there was someone out there who could explain what was changed at TV3. I really hate workarounds. I suppose I could give them a call and ask but I can't see that really going anywhere...

I emailed Freeview today asking about this issue and received a reply saying they
have tested TV3 at their end and can find no problem.

The Freeview people also queried TV3 about our problem but they are not aware of any issues. I have provided a link to this thread.

Fixed.

I just switched to TV3 AAC and it's back to normal.
