Nothing. It's an excellent unit for the price.

I need a bigger dish though for reliable SBS reception.

It tells the member that asked the question if the UP700 unit is locked to freeview channels presumably or if it is open to receive additional channels where possible.

Theres a PDF instruction manual and a picture of the unit , on our site www.jayx.co.nz. The only sTBs which restrict other satellite access are hills which can be manipulated to work on other satellites and Zinwell , which can not .

Any other DVBS or DVB2 satellite receiver can and will work with any satellite ,although some have problems locking to symbol rates lower than 2000 m/s.

What was in question was the ability to provide a lockable picture on SBS , and i have provided an in depth answer to why people are having problems with these channels.

The importer is Ultrapower Technolies and i am bound by NDA not to discuss their business , except of that in the public domian. I di however test the prototype for a while . This unit takes over from the Globo receiver which retailed at $120.00

We are supplying triangle / Stratos as we did the Globo with 700's and despite the odd negative comment they are proving very popular and reliable. As with the other products from Ultra Power JX Satellite and communications provides in and out of warrenty service for their products.

One of the few companies to offer out of warrenty service.

The website for Ultrapower say the Ultraplus's are made by Coolsat, but their site brings up a 404.

Also, have a look at this model - and at the 700

Maybe try www.ultraplus.com or www.ultraplus.co.nz.
I did, and found the results very informative.

Nope niether of them , the 700 is a design which is exclusive to them , and follows on the succesful Ultra Plus range of satellite receivers using tried and tested software and are made by the same company . Its very interesting to note that so much effort is being made to find out the heritage of the 700 considering what it does and the price tag!

The 700 is featured along with all the ultraplus products on www.jayx.co.nz Ultra Power technolies is an importer and trade supplier.

I can tell you that one retailor sold 10 yesterday, in a few hours.

The design is exclusive to Ultraplus? So its merely coincidence that the VisionNet is identical to the Ultraplus then, even down to the remote?

Dont know the Vision Net , i do know that this receiver is exclusive to Ultra Power ,They commissioned it to be built , they imported the test samples and the whole receiver was fine tuned including the case and the software . The test samples looked nothing like the finished product.

I dont really understand what you are trying to prove , If its reliability these were only launched a few days before christmas . Triangle /Stratos held off until last week due to the christmas new year break.

The receiver is an entry level receiver with an entry level price, Unless you want to go and try to get a bargin on trade me from who knows where selling god knows what.

This is going around in circles now They have a one year warrenty so whats the problem
