Don't count on Freeview. Now that TVNZ have jumped in bed with Sky with "Igloo" anything half decent on TVNZ freeview channels will disappear from the FTA  channels.

Allen.

So sorry. Blame me.  I just tuned into them the other day.  The fact they are gone is due to me.   All my life I have been known as a jinx and this always happens when I do anything. So its all my fault

Since we now know its your fault, how are you going to get them working again for us? Wink

Move to New Zealand's best fibre broadband service (affiliate link). Free setup code: R587125ERQ6VE. Note that to use Quic Broadband you must be comfortable with configuring your own router.

http://www.apsattv.com/ mention in their notices for 29/12/11 that: D1 12398 V "Go!, Channel 9 and Gem" signal is OFF.

I'm grateful for the long time that we did receive access to these channels. We were warned that they were only temporary when they were first beamed into NZ.

Maybe they will return maybe not. We still have SBS One and Two albeit at reduced signal strength. Enjoy these while we can. Love Aussie channels? Well, we can always move to Australia!

That would be pretty much an upset if the feed is permanently gone to NZ, I really like the movies they had on at night. The question I have in my mind is why would they switch the beam of, they got to get the the channels to Tazmania, also I still get an EPG for the channels.

Did find this info on the Auztech forums

http://www.austech.info/satellite-tv-general/67365-lost-channels-nine-gem-go.html

??

I only got a satellite dish last Friday, using Freeview terrestrial only before, and was looking forward to watching these 3 channels. Got to watch the first 3 days of the cricket and it's all gone :-) My typical luck as well!

In theory yes you can but the dish required would be an eyesore, I am guessing you would need in excess of a 3 meter dish to catch an overspill of the beam that is not focused on NZ in addition you would need a subscription you would have more chance of receiving Austar through there internet subscription service which requires a lot of bandwidth
