That's where I asked both

This is what i posted on Sony NZ 's wall :

Hey Guys - I have a Playstation3 with PlayTV. As you know PlayTV currently doesn't have a full EPG for MediaWorks or Prime. Is there going to be a fix for this in the future and if so is there any sort of ETA? I questioned MediaWorks about this and they said quote "We are more than happy to supply Sony with our EPG content - however, due to the amount of resource required to supply listings it d...oes come at a cost, of which is paid for (in some way, shape or form) by anyone publishing EPGs. Sony have so far elected not to pay for the MediaWorks content, therefore it's unable to be published the listings to their PS3 devices." If this is the issue wouldn't this be a very small cost for Sony considering NZ consumers have already out laid $$ for the PlayTV Product? It would to awesome if you guys could sort your differences out so the end user doesn't have to suffer. I really enjoy PlayTV and how it works. It would be sad to see this product to continue to be crippled like this.

Just Just posted on both TV3 and Primes Wall... the more of you who ask the question the more the chances they will respond!!!

PlayTV would be one of the largest selling DVB-T PVR’s in New Zealand, PlayTV is an add on for the PS3 converting the PlayStation 3 into a HD PVR, now since the device has been on the market it is missing the 7 day EPG content from all the MediaWork listings is there any update on this? One of the fantastic features PlayTV has is “community favourites” which is a real time “people meter” on any particular night there are hundreds on line in New Zealand, in real time you do see all the networks and it shows some very interesting statistics which I am sure in particular MediaWorks would be interested in, due to the EPG not fully functional “community favourites” is also not fully functioning which is putting a poor light on the ratings. Would be interested in your comments

TV3 just replied to me on Face Book

TV3 wrote: "Hi Mike. We're happy to provide Sony the data under the same conditions we do with all our clients. The ball is in their court."

Interesting.......

Reading between the lines it looks like MediaWorks wants $$$ for the EPG content and Sony don't want to pay it?? So next qwuestion what "deal" did Sony do with the other networks like TVNZ etc.....

The really annoying thing is this situation exists simply because freeview do not broadcast EIT data on their terrestrial service.

I tweeted TV3 and they also claimed that the ball was in Sony's court.
So I have included @SonyNZ in that conversation to see if/what they come back with.
