There is also a logo pack in the NZ section of the MediaPortal wiki that I have been maintaining.

Watched the A-League game on Saturday night.

Despite the initial hiccups with sound/picture, it was certainly a good experience, watching live football for free.

It looked like the feed had come from Man U TV, which would explain the professionalism of the commentators and the obvious bias towards Man U.

I think that could be the only let-down in the coming season - Chelsea TV and Man U TV will have very one-sided commentary teams (rightfully so, being fan-channels) and this could make it a difficult ask for a neutral to accept.

I watched a bit of AFL the other night. Thought the picture quality was fine. Not HD of course, but definitely watchable. I would say it was on a par with watching non-HD sport via MySky

I think it's better than the Sky SD, due to the lack of pixellation...

was watching some football last night and saw that they had made the awful sommet channel bug transparent, hooray methinks.

jubilation was shortlived as after the footy teh full strength, bright white and not transparent bug was back.

Perhaps old programs that have been broadcast before they went live and which are replayed have the solid logo. When new stuff is shown I'm hoping there will be less of the old solid white logo in future

So I have been watching Sommet for the last few days mainly Football, I don't think I can complain about the quality as it looks good. While I can pre-record games from my Samsung LED to an External Hardrive via USB, I have found that after a day or two the programs that i have booked to record has disappeared and something else has been booked, not sure if this is a TV issue or the Sommet guide is not working properly

I just had a question and didnt want to go through all the 22 pages to find out - but if i have a sky decoder, can i find sommet sports on there or do i need to connect in my UHF antenna and use that?

Thanks

Sommet is not on Sky, and from comments on their Facebook page it is not likely to be. You will have to crank up your UHF Freeview device.

Correct, the guide is up the whop. I wish it wasn't as I'd prefer to avoid AFL and to know what else is on.

Still have bold logo also.

Still, loving free sports!

Are they going to fix the guide at all? It's a pain in the arse expecting something to be on at a certain time and then have it changed...

From what I've read, the guide goes out because they are broadcasting live sport. Also, not sure, but I think their programming changes quite rapidly as they sign off other sports at short notice within the 8day EPG period? But don't quote me on that...
