Hi BS, This is my first post in a forum, so if I do something wrong, can some one just let me know.
I was about to buy a Panasonic DMR-XW390 DVD recorder, as I was having the same trouble you have outlined with your Ultra Plus, with mine. If I can update the firmware and remove the problem, I will probably carry on with the Ultra Plus. To do this ( I am a bit challenged with such things as 'firmware' etc), I would love to know where I go to get this, is there a specific version I should use, and having got it, how do I get it on to the Ultra Plus???? A lot of questions, but I would like very much no to go down the road that many appear to have gone with the Panasonic.
Regards

I'm now using is v1.08,79 it works far better than it did on some of the later firmware.

My Panasonic went back and I got a Magic TV 3700 and it records when it says it will but like all these modern wonders it still has it's little idiosyncrasies.
