I am looking to buy a Panasonic DWR-HWT260LN to replace MySky. Can anyone confirm that, like MySky, it is possible during a record to start watching the programme from the beginning, with FF/FR available, while the recording continues? I set the news to record every night then, 30 mins into the programme, start watching from the beginning so that I can FF through ads and asinine new stories. I find it takes about 20-25mins (and 15 of those minutes are sport and weather) to watch what the producers cleverly jam into an hour!

My 840GZ also does it. The 260 can pause and rewind live TV, so I don't see why it wouldn't. Best to drop Panasonic a line to be sure, if nobody here has one to confirm it 100%.

The Panasonic DMR-BWT760GN is a great device. Set up was a piece of cake. Installation took a few minutes, and I have a loop through for the antenna giving the option of using the TV built in tuner if I want to. Set up was simply turn on select New Zealand and let it do it's thing. I tweaked a few settings post set and all was done.

I love the was I can view recorded content and TV on other devices using the Panasonic DMR-BWT760GN. The guide is way better than Freeview's own guide without any of the waiting while loading I experience on the TV.

There is one small "bug", if I am streaming from my NAS unit to the device and a scheduled recording starts to record it stops the stream. I can go back in a start streaming again its just odd that it stops it at al but I can live with it. My TV is a Panasonic to the one remote

does a lot of shared functions which is great.Netflix comes preinstalled and has a dedicated button on the remote, there is no Lightbox App but I have that set up on the PS4 so no biggie.

All in all I am very pleased with the purchase and saving the $1,600pa I was paying Sky is a bonus.

Here is a crazy notion, lets give peace a chance.

I can confirm that I was able to watch something from the start while it was still recording on my 840GZ the other night. I was able to pause it and fast forward it as well.
