I like the Pannys.
The big advantages they have over the MySky and most other Freeview STB's are AV inputs and a DLNA server.
This means that you can record from external sources. It also means you can watch what you recorded in one room in another room (over the network).
The other thing that is handy is that you can burn recordings temporarily or permanently to optical disks. This is useful if you want to keep them, just as an overflow to free up hard drive space, or someone wants to see a show you have recorded.
Beware however, and check the model number carefully before buying. The DMR-BWT models let you burn material to disk. The DMR-PWT models are gimped by comparison and only let you play disks (they are sold as recorders, but only record to the hard drive, when it's full you have to start deleting). I'm not sure whether or not the HTW series let you transfer recordings to optical disk.
