Does the My book which you have has power switch if yes this is not the one I am taking about. My book essential edition works perfectly and sorry if this is not working for you you need to trust 6 month of testing and my word on this. Sorry I will not answer anything about HDD's is this forum (it is not about Hyundai and HDD's here) you need to contact me if you have an issue we don't solve issues through this forum and I don't wish to argue with you here. "Anyone has any issue please contact us to solve it everyone purchased our goods is welcome"  Cheers

After reading these posts I am a little confused as to whether the UltraPlus 900HD Micro has sufficient power from a single USB port, to power up a 500GB 2.5 in Western Digital Portable HDD or do they only work with external power supplies.
