Revenge didn't look HD to me and there is no HD logo.

But then again tonight Suburgatory and Go Girl are advertised as HD on the TVNZ site but there's no HD logo during the show and certainly no multichannel.  The PQ isn't that flash if it's HD.

That is very obvious when I switch over to TV3 and NCIS and the sound field envelopes you.

How are you receiving your freeview signal? They definitely should be in HD.

cyril7: While we are on the subject, since the Hobson St news room got a paint over someone forgot to paint the mounting bolts for the blue screen, they stand out like dogs balls on the weather map, anyway back on topic.

Is that what is causing that? - first time I saw it I thought I suddenly had dead pixels - but fortunately it started moving around and I realised it was a TVNZ issue. Of course now I have noticed it I see it EVERY time and it annoys me a lot!

I have noticed this too. I figured it was dead pixels on the camera that looks at the weather map because once they switch to another camera the spots are gone. Or given that the weather map is probably blue-screened maybe dead pixels on the system that does that.

Sometimes I just sit and think. Other times I just sit.

I am using a Freeview DVB-T STB. The shows could be in HD (can't tell for sure since my older D-ILA JVC RP isn't quite as sharp as the latest LED and Plasma TV's but on those shows there isn't even a HD logo which appears against some TVNZ shows. The sound certainly is not 5.1 but is DD.

Does your D-ILA JVC RP lack HDMI? Few NZ DVB-T receivers are going to give HD to the TV through a non HDCP connection.

It has HDMI since I connect my PS3 to it a well as a popcorn hour. And I get HD fine over those connections. Anyway TV3 is fine also.

TV2 HD logo is no longer. They apparently wish to follow TV3 according to screenscribe.tv.

Spark Max Fibre using Mikrotik CCR1009-8G-1S-1S+, CRS125-24G-1S, Unifi UAP, U6-Pro, UAP-AC-M-Pro, Apple TV 4K (2022), Apple TV 4K (2017), iPad Air 1st gen, iPad Air 4th gen, iPhone 13, SkyNZ3151 (the white box). If it doesn't move then it's data cabled.

Interesting Winners and Losers in TV1 has HD logo while Big Bang Theory on TV2 which is supposed to be HD has no logo.

Great news. We just have to get the channel bugs off now and it'll be sweet.

Only thing is that the above is more TVNZ BS.

They quickly stopped showing the HD logo at the start of a programme and when returning from ad breaks.

If they can't sort out accurate EPG listings (and the TVNZ Dolby Digital fiasco), they should at least follow the TV3 convention.
