I've got Snap 100/50 UFB, everything runs super fast, except Facebook App content on two devices I have using wifi, an Asus Transformer Prime tablet, and a Samsung Galaxy Glide phone.

When using the Android app on both devices, content is loaded extremely slow, and photos/images don't load at all (or only on a very odd occasion).
When using facebook via a web browser on both devices, facebook loads up instantly!
And facebook on a desktop PC (direct LAN to modem), and on a laptop (wifi) both also load instantly.

Problem has been happening for a number of weeks.

Oh and when I use 3g/mobile data on my phone, the facebook app loads quick as well.
Just seems when using the Snap connection.

Just curious why this would be?

Thanks - I disabled ipv6 in my fibre modem, and now the facebook app works well :)

In the future I'll try turning ipv6 back on, and see if it works.

Yep, same here on both Android and Windows Phone versions. Some say it's IPv6 related. I am not sure on this yet.

I've had the same problem for a couple of months - facebook wont load on my android devices when using wifi. No problem at all on 3G. My wife got so frustrated she uninstalled the facebook app from her phone.

I know it is specific to our wifi network, because it works fine on the wifi at my work.

The problem exists on a Note 2 (stock 4.3), Note 8 (stock 4.2), S3 Mini (4.1.2), S4 Mini (4.2.2) and a Galaxy S (CyanogenMod 10.1 4.2.2).

I've also had similar problems with youtube on the android devices, either doesnt load, or is very slow - again only a problem when on wifi at home.

Interestingly, there was no problem with facebook or youtube on our desktop or laptop.

We are on Snap fibre and have a fritzbox 7390. I upgraded the firmware from 05.01 to 06.01, but it didn't make any difference.

So, I have just now disabled IPv6 on the friztbox, and magically youtube and facebook work just fine on the 3 devices I've tested so far!

My only problem now is, will disabling IPv6 effect anything else?

Nope, currently it makes almost no difference to the average home user, just leave it off for now.

I wonder if this is a Fritzbox issue. I have no issues with content not loading on the Facebook app on Android. I'm using an Asus RT-N66U with Tomato firmware.

Edit: I've just tried on an iOS device and there are no issues with it either.

Are you on UFB? I have no issues on VDSL, even with ipv6 enabled.

EDIT: Though it would be interesting to know what version of the fritzbox firmware everyone who is having issues is on. I'm still on .22 on my 7340 because the recent ones seem to cause issues with VDSL... maybe they have other issues.
