Hi All,

Earlier this week Google made a change to improve spam protection for their customers by enforcing Sender Policy Framework (SPF) for email - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sender_Policy_Framework. If you have a domain name and send an email to a ?@gmail.com email address via a smarthost, you need to ensure you have added a TXT record to your DNS records, otherwise your email will be bounced - e.g.:

If you are a 2degrees customer and sending via smtp.snap.net.nz, you may need this.

For more information from Google on bouncing email, please refer here - https://support.google.com/mail/answer/81126#authentication for more\n5.7.1 information. w3-v6si26325465plb.355 – gsmtp.

Nick.

Are you updating the old Snap controlled domains with this record? I have spoken to a couple of people today who still use @minidata.co.nz for their email domain and they can't send to Gmail or G-Suite hosted mail addresses.
