Hey guys,

Anyone else having issues accessing some Akamai cached sites?  eg;

- Steam - via the app or store.steampowered.com?
- Microsoft Support - support.microsoft.com

Doesn't seem to work for me on my 2D fibre connection, but does via Skinny Mobile Data.

Link fine for me just now on a 2Degrees Fibre connection.

People often mistake me for an adult because of my age.

Keep calm, and carry on posting.

Same issue for me on 2degrees fibre in Auckland.

They begin to load, then just get the constant spinning. Was having similar issues yesterday afternoon.

Yes, can ping fine, but I have the same symptoms as @evilonenz.

Sometimes I get a partial page load.

Doesn't 2D run their own Akamai server?  I'm trying to look it up, but Akamai.com is also having issues haha.

Ah, if I change my DNS server to a non-2D international one it works fine, which I think proves that it's an Akamai caching issue.

@NickMack?

Now on the laptop and both links still seem to load fine (2Degrees Fibre, Auckland). Must be intermittent, or localised?

Still an issue for me.

Yup, this is what both pages present when using 2degrees DNS:

Pings are fine, just getting stalls when attempting to load page content (Checking via F12 - Network).

Hi All,

Got it - Team escalating to Akamai  - We are commissioning new caches in Mt Eden and Forest Hill as part of our RWC preparation, we suspect Akamai hasn't quite done something correctly.

Nick.

Hiya,

The new caches should be serving up content, for those those experiencing an issue, if you can load your browser and goto support.microsoft.com. Goto Task Manager (ALT/CTL/DEL and select Task Manager), Click Performance, down the bottom select Open Resource Manager

Select Browser (IE (IExplore.exe)/Chrome) in CPU Tab

Select Network Tab

and post the screenshot as per below, we can then confirm which cache you are hitting.

Nick.

Updated:  Sorry, previous shot was loading both Steam and Microsoft sites.  This shot has more servers too for some reason!
