Anyone else seeing VoLTE live in the last hour or so?
Both myself and a friend are now getting VoLTE active in different suburbs in North Shore (Birkdale & Birkenhead), nice crisp HD Voice calling!

Seems as if the Vodafone VoWIFI announcement might have taunted them into turning it on and be the first with both working nation wide...

I can confirm it is live on my phone in Karaka.

Seen it a couple of times when disabling WiFi Calling, but had disappeared quickly, definitely sticking around now.

@psychrn Do you have VoLTE this morning? You will not see the VoLTE icon if you are attached to WiFi calling

I have a friend at 2d who has advised me that their VoLTE, already available in pockets of the NI, was turned on in parts of Auckland overnight. The rest of the country will be progressively enabled this month and in October. Further comment I received:

"Phone behaviour:

•Samsung and Oppo phones that are VoLTE capable will automatically start using VoLTE

•At this time, only iPhones from the XS/XR and later are able to use VoLTE but it is OFF by default so users will need to turn it on. To do this they need to go to: Settings>Mobile>Mobile Data Options>Voice & Data: VoLTE toggle switch to ON.

•In December we are planning to enable VoLTE on older iPhone models and to make it ON by default."

Unfortunately my iPhone X will not be capable until Dec. Mrs Code lookin' good with her 12 but it's not actually in our N Shore area yet.

Another reason for me to get a 13 when it's announced shortly.😃

Iphone 12 Mini here, and that option doesn't exist in Mobile Data Options for me (only have 5G on, 5G Auto, 4G in that menu)

Ah, maybe she's not seeing VoLTE because no iOS15 yet.

It's live here in Mairangi Bay, but very marginal signal level means that it drops off and out of VoLTE mode, unless I'm upstairs. Sad really as my alternative option VoWiFi has such poor sound quality off net.  I guess there's no hope for me. I've been trialing a Kogan SIM on the VF network for the last few weeks in a similar phone, and the results have been very good here, so looks like I'll be moving.

I'm having issues receiving and making calls since this.

I either don't receive a call notification or when I dial it doesn't dial.

Often when I call I need to call multiple times for it to connect.
