Hi Geekzoners!

There has been a little bit of media scuttlebutt today around the launch of our advertising campaign.
While we'd like to keep as much of it as pleasant a surprise for you as possible, it is true that you will be able to catch the first glimpse of?what 2degrees is all about?this Sunday evening.
We think you'll like it. It's uniquely Kiwi, it's a bit different, a bit quirky and be prepared to expect the unexpected!!

So keep your eyes peeled!

Cheers - 2degrees!

Moderator edit (MF): The ad was on TV and now on YouTube so I am adding it here:

NZ Herald article on 2d here positioning 2d as a mass-market pre-pay offering in supermarkets, BP outlets etc.

Can't wait to see the ad campaign.
It's great that 2d will be offering SIMs at supermarkets etc.. a bit like Vodafone selling $2 SIMs at Coles in Aussie. Hopefully we'll see cheaper SIMs also.

just saw the ad (and happened to be on here at the same time) so thought I would ask a question.

The ad says

"the more people who sign up, the more you will save." (or words very similar)

is this a vague sort of

"we can spread our fixed costs further and so eventually reduce prices"

statement or a specific promo like

"for every X'000 people who sign up we will reduce our per min price by Xc"

Just saw it, quite like it, shame I can't log on to the website though to find out more...it just hangs for ages.

before I spend ages waiting to see if site loads, can anyone tell me if they've got the pricing on there yet?

Or is it just pre-hype?

Very impressed with the free SIM / $5 credit... IMO a very good marketing move. I wonder how many SIMs they have to give away for free. Sure beats paying $30.00 for Voda SIM

The ad and free SIM offer is clearly poking fun at Vodafone and Telecom. It's great
