I'm in the process of setting up WDS on server 2008 R2 to deploy Windows 7 here at work. I've got as far as getting an image captured with my apps installed and drivers deploying from WDS.

The next step is to build an answer file for deployment.

At my old job the overseas team in charge of deployment had the image set to grab the system name from the bios and set it as the system's name in windows 7. I have not been able to find a way to do this, which is probably due to me searching for the wrong thing or getting my terminology mixed up.

All our hardware is HP 6000pro, 6200pro and pro/elitebooks.

Any help appreciated.

Thanks
