Hi.

I have a customer who does presentations monthly in a medium sized room to 20 people and also via skype at the same time connects two remote locations. Video works ok, but the people are complaining they can't hear her when she speaks. They have tried an external microphone apparently which didn't help, so I looked around and though the Polycom units looked ok. Anyone used one for this purpose and know of places that do evaluations or rentals in Auckland so we can test before purchasing.

I was thinking of the VoiceStation 500 but maybe a 300 might do it?

Alternatively I see Logitech do a Kit with a camera and similar looking voice unit and wondered if anyone here had used them and could comment?

e use those at work, fantastic audio/video quality. Good as our Cisco SX20's I reckon. You can get them through Gen-i, not sure who they got them through. Might be a bit over kill being it's pretty much a whole VC kit. The laptop just sees it as a mic/camera/speaker and you install a little add in to Skype so it does caller ID etc on the display.
